In difficult times, let us pray with you in your need. In times of joy, let us give thanks with you.
At Saint Joan of Arc, we pray for our home community of Chick’s Beach, Virginia Beach, and the greater Hampton Roads area—for our neighbors, families, and all who need comfort, healing, guidance, or hope.
We encourage you to send us your prayer requests and be assured that we pray for you. All requests are placed on our prayer altar, remembered at every Mass, and prayed for daily.
Near or Far, Your Prayers Are Welcome
You do not need to live nearby or belong to our parish to ask for prayer. We welcome requests from across the country and around the world, and we are grateful to join you in prayer.
We also encourage you, wherever you live, to seek prayer partners in your own community—a local parish, trusted friends, or family members. Having someone nearby who can listen, pray beside you, and offer practical support can make a meaningful difference. Sometimes the closeness of a caring person is part of the help we need.
Whether near or far, you are welcome to share your concerns and thanksgivings with us. Saint Paul encourages us to bring our needs to God with prayer and thanksgiving, trusting in the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:6–7
