Hello! I’m Father Nicholas—also known to many as Father Tony—and I’m the pastor of Saint Joan of Arc. I’m glad you found us. Perhaps you are looking for a church home, returning after time away, or wondering what a life with God might look like. Whatever brought you here, you are welcome to explore those questions with us.
At Saint Joan’s, we are learning, living, and loving Jesus together. We are a small, growing parish of imperfect people seeking to follow Christ with open hearts. We pray together, care for one another, and discover how faith can shape our everyday lives. You do not need to have everything figured out before you come.
Take Your First Step
The best way to get to know us is to join us for Mass. We usually worship at 9:00 AM on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Please check our calendar for schedule changes and additional services.
Our Mass follows the Western Rite of the Orthodox Catholic tradition, with Scripture, prayer, hymns, a homily, and Holy Communion. A service booklet helps you follow along, and you are welcome to participate at your own pace.
Visit our Plan Your Visit page for directions and answers to questions about Communion, children, clothing, and what to expect.
Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Please introduce yourself after Mass and stay for coffee and conversation. I would love to hear what brought you to Saint Joan’s and what you hope to find in a church community.
If you would prefer a longer or more private conversation, we can arrange a time to talk. There is no required interview or commitment—just an opportunity to meet, ask questions, and begin getting to know one another.
Grow in Faith
Faith grows through prayer, learning, worship, and putting Christ’s love into practice. Whether Christianity is new to you or has been part of your life for years, we can help you explore your next steps. These might include:
Learning about Scripture and the Orthodox Catholic faith.
Developing a habit of prayer.
Preparing for Baptism, Confirmation, or First Communion.
Returning to sacramental life after time away.
Exploring membership in our parish.
Discerning how your gifts can serve others.
If you are interested in becoming Christian, we can talk about the catechumenate, a guided journey of faith and preparation for Christian initiation. If you are already baptized, we will begin with your own experience and questions.
Find Community. Put Faith into Action.
Following Jesus involves both what we believe and how we live. At Saint Joan’s, we seek to build friendships that support a deeper life in Christ: listening to one another, praying with and for each other, reflecting on Scripture, and responding to the needs of our neighbors. As our parish grows, we welcome your ideas and gifts. You may find a place to help with hospitality, worship, outreach, or another ministry—or simply begin by joining us and getting to know the community.
There Is a Place for You Here
Saint Joan of Arc is a Traditionally Inclusive parish of the United Orthodox Catholic Church. We hold to tradition with hearts open to the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are single, married, divorced, LGBTQ+, coming with children, or coming on your own, you are welcome. Your questions are welcome, too. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you as we discover what a life with Christ can mean.
